Clifton Observatory

I feel very lucky to live only minutes away from the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge. It is somewhere that I hope to go one time and capture the sunset. I just missed it when I went for an evening walk a couple of weeks ago and instead got to see these wonderful pink clouds. The building here is the Clifton Observatory which houses a camera obscura and also a pathways down into the cliffs to look over the gorge which is something I hope to visit before I leave Bristol in the summer.

Reflections.

Canada has such beautiful natural scenes nearly everywhere you look from the prairies to the stunning mountains and lakes. All these scenes seem to stand out no matter what the weather conditions happen to be. So I was most pleased looking back at my camera to find this photo of the slightly overcast sky reflecting in a perfectly still lake. I can’t comment on where this photo as taken as all I know is that it was taken from the greyhound coach window somewhere in BC, about 20 minutes west of Revelstoke, which may make this Three Valley Lake.
