The Inca Terns are one of my favourite things to visit at Bristol Zoo. These interesting birds with their slightly comical moustaches are always a delight flying around above the heads of people watching the Penguins and Eider Ducks. Quite often I find myself watching them at feeding time and so they flash by with fish in their beaks. Sometimes you are lucky that they will perch in full view for a couple of minutes to enjoy their meal.

Rainbow Lorikeet
At Bristol Zoo there is a wonderful area where you can walk amongst the free-flying Lorikeets. For a small charge you are then able to feed them. The birds seem to really enjoy this and are rather greedy with some people getting around three birds perching on their arms. The bright colours of the plumage are always eye catching.

Young one.
This young Starling was hunting about at the picnic tables at Bristol Zoo, hoping to find some crumbs left behind. Whilst stopping in the unusually quite dining area I took a little break to eat my own lunch and was joined by this fellow and some Pigeons.
